چکیده

The synergistic effect of two carbon nanofillers on the mechanical properties PLA-based nanocomposites was investigated in present work. Polylactic acid is relatively brittle semi-crystalline polymer which selected for composite matrix because its biodegradable properties. It reinforced with graphene nanoplatelets and multiwall nanotubes by means melt mixing preparation method. Nanohardness Young’s modulus smooth nanocomposite samples received 3D printing were defined nanoindentation experiments using Berkovich-type pyramidal nanoindenter. found that compounds, incorporated both structure, exhibit better performance compared to loaded a single nanofiller. Different techniques sample applied order see influence preliminary processing nanomechanical specimens. X-ray diffraction Raman spectroscopy used study structural features pristine nanomaterials.

Effect of biodegradation on PLA/graphene-nanoplatelets composites mechanical properties and biocompatibility

Two types of graphene-nanoplatelets (GNP-M and GNP-C) were incorporated in PLA (poly(lactic acid)) by melt blending. Materials were biodegraded during 6 months and characterized by XRD, tensile tests, DMA and biocompatibility assays. For both fillers, low loadings (0.25 wt.%) improved mechanical properties and decreased their decay until 6 months biodegradation. PLA degradation decreased its to...

The Electrical Properties of Hybrid Composites Based on Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes with Graphite Nanoplatelets

In the present work, we have investigated the concentration dependences of electrical conductivity of monopolymer composites with graphite nanoplatelets or multiwall carbon nanotubes and hybrid composites with both multiwall carbon nanotubes and graphite nanoplatelets. The latter filler was added to given systems in content of 0.24 vol%. The content of multiwall carbon nanotubes is varied from ...

investigation of the electronic properties of carbon and iii-v nanotubes

boron nitride semiconducting zigzag swcnt, $b_{cb}$$n_{cn}$$c_{1-cb-cn}$, as a potential candidate for making nanoelectronic devices was examined. in contrast to the previous dft calculations, wherein just one boron and nitrogen doping configuration have been considered, here for the average over all possible configurations, density of states (dos) was calculated in terms of boron and nitrogen ...

Mechanical, Electrical and Electro-Mechanical Properties of Thermoplastic Elastomer Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene/Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes Composites

Composites of styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) block copolymer with multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) were processed by solution casting in order to investigate the influence of filler content, the different ratio of styrene/butadiene in the copolymer and the architecture of the SBS matrix on the electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical properties of the composites. It was found that fille...

Graphene nanoplatelets induced heterogeneous bimodal structural magnesium matrix composites with enhanced mechanical properties

In this work, graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) reinforced magnesium (Mg) matrix composites were synthesised using the multi-step dispersion route. Well-dispersed but inhomogeneously distributed GNPs were obtained in the matrix. Compared with the monolithic alloy, the nanocomposites exhibited dramatically enhanced Young's modulus, yield strength and ultimate tensile strength and relatively high pla...
